French luxury house Hermes have been producing their iconic silk scarves at the original location near Lyon, France, since the 1930s. This concept sought to document the most celebrated designs with a continuous looping film to be displayed at flagship stores internationally. A single scarf tumbles gracefully underwater breaking the surface at the edge of frame to facilitate a seamless transition to the next pattern. The water surface also serves as a means of abstracting the pattern through the composition. A CG simulated animation provided a repeating physical motion, with a palette of designs only limited by the Hermes archive.
