Thom Yorke in prosthetic makeup, a live action miniature shoot and CG are combined in this Atoms For Peace music video. Following the blue screen shoot, I worked closely with Director Andrew Huang to develop the topological animation that ripples from Yorkes form and the environmental features. The crumbling head and city combined with sweeping aerial landscape shots create an ambiguous sense of time and scale. We leveraged this in the CG via elements of stop frame and time lapse in an effect that constantly laps outwards. I guided a small but dedicated team that rolled the topological animation and other CG elements out over more than sixty unique shots.
